Goblet of heart

Rumi said: Whoever is loved is beautiful, but this doesn’t mean that whoever is beautiful is loved. “There are girls more beautiful than Laila,” they used to tell Majnun. “Let us bring some to you.” “I do not love Laila for her form,” Majnun would reply.

“Laila is like a cup in my hand. I drink wine from that cup. I am in love with that wine. You only have eyes for the goblet and do not know the wine. A golden goblet studded with precious stones, but containing only vinegar, what use is that to me? An old broken gourd with wine is better in my eyes than a hundred goblets of gold.”

Being a momentary guest

This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.

Song Of Love

I am the lover’s eyes, and the spirit’s wine, and the heart’s nourishment.
I am a rose.
My heart opens at dawn and the virgin kisses me and places me upon her breast.
I am the house of true fortune, and the origin of pleasure, and the beginning of peace and tranquillity.
I am the gentle smile upon his lips of beauty.
When youth overtakes me he forgets his toil,
And his whole life becomes reality of sweet dreams.

I am the poet’s elation,
And the artist’s revelation,
And the musician’s inspiration.

I am a sacred shrine in the heart of a child, adored by a merciful mother.

I appear to a heart’s cry; I shun a demand;
My fullness pursues the heart’s desire;
It shuns the empty claim of the voice.

I appeared to Adam through Eve
And exile was his lot;
Yet I revealed myself to Solomon, and he drew wisdom from my presence.

I smiled at Helena and she destroyed Tarwada;
Yet I crowned Cleopatra and peace dominated the Valley of the Nile.

I am like the ages – building today and destroying tomorrow;
I am like a god, who creates and ruins;
I am sweeter than a violet’s sigh;
I am more violent than a raging tempest.

Gifts alone do not entice me;
Parting does not discourage me;
Poverty does not chase me;
Jealousy does not prove my awareness;
Madness does not evidence my presence.

Oh seekers, I am Truth, beseeching Truth;
And your Truth in seeking and receiving
And protecting me shall determine my behaviour.

Song Of The Soul

In the depth of my soul there is a wordless song
A song that lives in the seed of my heart.
It refuses to melt with ink on parchment;
It engulfs my affection in a transparent cloak
And flows but not upon my lips.

How can I sigh it?
I fear it may mingle with earthly ether;
To whom shall I sing it?
It dwells in the house of my soul,
In fear of harsh ears.

When I look into my inner eyes I see the shadow of its shadow;
When I touch my fingertips I feel its vibrations.

The deeds of my hands heed its presence as a lake must reflect the glittering stars;
My tears reveal it, as bright drops of dew reveal the secret of a withering rose.

It is a song composed by contemplation,
And published by silence,
And shunned by clamour,
And folded by truth,
And repeated by dreams,
And understood by love,
And hidden by awakening,
And sung by the soul.

It is the song of love;
What Cain or Esau could sing it?

It is more fragrant than jasmine;
What voice could enslave it?

It is heartbound, as a virgin’s secret;
What string could quiver it?

Who dares unite the roar of the sea
And the singing of the nightingale?
Who dares compare the shrieking tempest
To the sigh of an infant?
Who dares speak aloud the words
Intended for the heart to speak?
What human dares sing in voice

Believe in what you dream

Failure is a link to success

Never read success stories,they will just inspire you,
Read failure stories,they will show you the path to success.
Because you learn more from failure then from success,don't let it stop you

Success

Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea.
Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone.
This is the way to Success...

Your Soul..Your Teacher

You have to grow from the inside out.
None can teach you, none can make you spiritual.
There is no other teacher..but your own soul.

You are my life

One day you will ask me which is more important? My life or yours? I will say mine and you will walk away not knowing that you are my life.

The voice that speaks inside

"There is a voice inside of you
That whispers all day long,
"I feel this is right for me,
I know that this is wrong."
No teacher, preacher, parent, friend
Or wise man can decide
What's right for you--just listen to
The voice that speaks inside.”

From mom and dad - a heart touching letter

 From Mom and Dad..

My Child,
When I grow old, I hope you understand and have patience with me.
In case, i break a plate, or spill soup on the table because I’m losing my eye sight.
I hope you don’t yell at me.
Older people are sensitive , always having self-pity when you yell.
When my hearing gets worse and I can’t hear, what you’re saying.
I hope you don’t call me, “Deaf.”
Please repeat what you said, or write it down.
I’m sorry, my child.
I’m getting older.

When my knees get weaker, I hope you have the patience to help me get up.
Like how I used to help you while you were little, learning to walk.
Please bear with me.

When I keep repeating myself like a broken record,
I hope you just keep listening to me.
Please don’t make fun of me or, get sick of listening to me.
Do you remember when you were little and wanted a balloon?
You repeated yourself over and over, until you got what you wanted.

Please also pardon my smell.
I smell like an old person.
Please don’t force me to shower. My body is weak. Old people get sick easily when they’re cold.

I hope I don’t gross you out.
Do you remember, when you were little?
I used to chase you around because you didn’t want to shower.
I hope you can be patient with me, when I’m always cranky. Its all part of getting old.
You’ll understand when you’re older and if you have spare time, I hope we can talk, even for a few minutes.
I’m always by myself all the time, and have no one to talk to.
I know you’re busy with work.
Even if you’re not interested with my stories, please have time for me.
Do you remember, when you were little?
I used to listen to your stories about your teddy bear.
When the time comes and I get bedridden, I hope you have the patience to take care of me.

I’m sorry.
If I wet the bed or make a mess
I hope you have the patience to take care of me during the last few moments of my life.
I’m not going to last much longer, anyway when the time of my death comes, “I hope you hold my hand and give me the strength to face death and don’t worry.
When I finally meet our Creator ………………..
I’ll whisper in His ear ………………….. to bless you because you loved your mom and dad.

Thank you so much for your
We love you
With much love
Mom & Dad

Respect your old parents

Parents - The most valuable thing you have in your life

Often we are so busy growing up that we often forget that our parents are getting older.We never truly appreciate the things our parent did for us until we start doing the same thing for our children.Your parents did not leave you when you were young ,so don't leave them when they are old and need your attention for you will only know their values when you see their empty chairs.

Now a days children are forgetting that they have a duty towards their parent,the only thing they require at their old age are just some moment of your so called precious time and some pleasing word,these things are sufficient to make them happy.

"If I could give you one thing in life, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes, only then would you realize how special you are to me",this is not just a quote this is what you are for your parents.

Old Parents are not a burden they are the most valuable things you have in your life so start respecting your old parent because they are the reason for what you are today.

Marriage-The Prophet

On Marriage- The Prophet

You were born together, and together you shall be for evermore. You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days. Aye, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God. But let there be spaces in your togetherness. And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together yet not too near together for the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.

― Khalil Gibran

Love-The prophet

                                 ON LOVE -THE PROPHET
When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And When his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And When he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden...

But if in your fear you would seek only love’s peace and love’s pleasure,
Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of
love’s threshing-floor,
Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter,
and weep, but not all of your tears...

But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.”
